Choubey and his COW

Well after a good 7 days of being in a foul mood, I have resigned myself to my fate. There is nothing I can do but move on in life and which is exactly what I am doing right now. To begin with spending a extra bit of time doing stuff that I was very passionate about was my priority, and in addition I plan to start swimming and guitar classes once again. In between if I can squeeze in some time for the NGO I work for, that would be like the icing on the cake heheheh J.

Anyways the post is not about me or how am I making up for the stupidity I committed rather it’s about this person I know and his puritan views on his future life partner. It’s hilarious considering the fact that even at this age, there exist MEN who expect WOMEN to be a COW.

My friend X is planning to get married and is in the process of soliciting proposals from would be brides. Quite recently as we stood talking within our office campus, sipping tea (Me) and he smoking. In between whirls of endless smoke, when I could finally see his face, I asked “ So Choubey (that’s his nick in office) what are you looking for in the girl you want to marry?”

The answers he gave would drive the Mahila Mukti Morcha people up the wall and drag Choubey to a Mahila court if he is not skinned alive that is. I am no chauvinist pig but yes I have quite laissez-faire views on what my would be partner should be like.

What surprised me was the fact that even in the 21^st century MEN (read some please not all) don’t want to change their views on the role a women (Read a would be bride) should play. While I expect the fairer sex to say Yes in UNISON to this fact, please things are changing dearies, trust me it really is. Not all men expect their partners to play the same old sati savitri roles please.

Anyways I had a ball of a time pulling choubey’s legs on what his would be bride should be from. Right from suggesting that he marry a cow to asking him to get in touch with center for SC/ST upliftment and find if anyone has 3-4 daughters all of marriageable age and choose one amongst them.

As for him and how his married life would be, I have no doubt that even the COW that he finally selects would kick his a%% and make sure that he sees reason. If not her, there are enough Mahila Mukti Morcha people waiting to do so on behalf of his better half.

As for us select few, we would also smile,definitely laugh and shake our heads and say

“WE TOLD YOU SO ………”
